Grierson Award Nomination for Lin and Ralph: A Love Story

Lin and Ralph: A Love Story, produced by Stampede and Factotum Films has been nominated for a prestigious Grierson award (Best Documentary on a Contemporary Issue). The documentary, which was broadcast last year on ITV's Real Life strand, is an intimate portrait of a marriage that has overcome incredible odds. It was filmed over 17 years by award-winning documentary maker Marilyn Gaunt. The award ceremony will take place in late November.
World Premiere of Tantric Yogi

Channel 4 will broadcast Stampede's Tantric Yogi, on Wednesday November 2nd. The film, is directed by Chenaktsang Dorje Tsering, Tibet’s greatest living poet and the only indigenous person making documentaries out of Tibet. Narrated by Jim Broadbent, Tantric Yogi is an eventful and comic road trip, a kind of Tibetan Canterbury Tales - by bus, tractor and boat. As a village in eastern Tibet sets out on a cross-country pilgrimage led by its Chief Tantric Yogi (Wangdrak) to the One Hundred Thousand Gathering that happens only once every 60 years.
